The Zookeeper’s Wife

During World War II the keepers of the Warsaw Zoo turn their bombed out animal park into a different kind of sanctuary… a safe haven for Jewish people escaping to freedom.

Based on a true story.

ClearPlay in Action!

ClearPlay removes 14 sexual scenes (2 with partial nudity), 24 scenes of violence, and 3 vain references to Deity. Even with filtering, the film is not recommended for children as it contains intense scenes and topics of the holocaust, brutality, and the rape of a young girl (the act is not shown, but understood).

Will the zookeepers capture your interest? …

I was unfamiliar with the Warsaw Zoo’s history, so although the pace was slow at times, the story held my interest. With fine acting, poignant scenes, and a theme of courage, the film is worth watching.
