The Boss Baby

An animated story based on the children’s book, Tim enjoys life as the only child for seven years, then a baby brother arrives… but this is no ordinary baby.

ClearPlay in Action!

ClearPlay removes 39 instances of name calling and potty terms and eliminates 11 scenes of nudity (bare baby bottoms) and 9 violent or gross images (hits to groin, vomit). Filters also remove a scene of a child unknowingly sipping an alcoholic beverage. Overall, adults and children can enjoy this family friendly film.

Will the baby rule or drool? …

The story crawls at times and initially felt as much fun as slurping strained peas, but it delivers a strong pro-family message so I was glad I didn't toss The Boss Baby out with the bathwater. If you're a fan of Alec Baldwin and 30 Rock you'll get a kick out of the miniature Donaghy-like character. His behavior (demanding sushi, holding meetings) and business attire (gotta love the infant-sized sock garters) is so incongruent with babyhood it stirs up a formula for laughs.

- Trudy Bockoven, ClearPlay Binky Dispenser

Rated PG for some mild rude humor.
